CQ is seen as a core competency needed in an increasingly global world and, when effective, fosters understanding among teams, facilitates better cross-cultural competency, and helps improve productivity, profitability, and innovation.
Language and culture have influenced Emily from an early age. A native of New Mexico, she benefited from a highly multicultural education, which helped her to develop a global perspective and an intense interest in language and cultural diversity. Studying abroad in an experiential language & culture immersion program and being a lifelong language learner have helped to further develop her interests in linguistics and cross-cultural communication.
